I am of opinion that people are too busy nowadays.  Well, that’s no new concept.  But I want to take it further by saying that children are too busy nowadays.  I might get a frown or a “What?!” now.  I have seen many kids who present with ADHD and depressive symptoms, but who are in fact just burnt-out.  So before you get too stressed about disorders, give attention to your child’s sleeping patters.

I want to refer you to an excellent piece written by the authors of the book: Life -span Human development, Carol K. Sigelman and Elizabeth A. Rider.  They are experts in this field. Are today’s children (and adults) sleep deprived
